Dates:

Friday, February 15th through Monday, February 18th, 2013

 

Teams will be scheduled to play early on Friday morning, February 15th.  Games will be held each day from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.  Championship and consolation games will be held on Monday, February 18th.  All games will be finished by 3:00 pm on Monday.

 

Location:

Colorado Springs, Colorado

 

Venues include Sertich Ice Arena (Memorial Park), Honnen Ice Arena (Colorado College), Colorado Springs World Arena (Ice Hall and Main Arena), Colorado Sports Center (CSC in Monument) and the Air Force Academy Cadet Ice Arena (USAFA Cadet Field House).

Squirt A, B, C
Peewee AA, A, B
Bantam AA, A, B
Midget Minor AA, A
Major AA, A


      

Sanctioning:

This is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament.  Sanction number pending.  USA Hockey rules regarding age classifications will be followed.

 

Entry Fee:

$1350 (U.S. dollars) Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget teams

 

There will be a championship and consolidation game in all divisions.

 

Miscellaneous:
 

·         Locker rooms will be given out 1 hour prior to games.

·         Check-in is 45 minutes before game.

·         Be ready to go on ice at least 15 minutes before game in case of an early start.

·         Locker room procedures: Check in with Shift Coordinator, trade keys and inspect room for any damages. Clean up after game, clear out with Shift Coordinator and get personal keys back.

 

Awards:
First place team will recieve a team trophy and individual medals.  The 2nd and 3rd place teams will recieve medals.

 
 

 Entry and Acceptance:

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, and are due no later than October 20, 2012.  Teams will be notfied of acceptance no later than November 3, 2012.  Application should be made by submitting a registration form and the entry fee. Telephone/Fax applications and rosters will NOT be accepted. If your team is not accepted to compete in our tournament, your entry fee will be refunded to you. Once accepted to the tournament no refunds will be made.  Rosters and birth certificates will be required upon notification of acceptance.  We intend to select teams representing various geographical locations. Once your team has been selected to participate in the tournament, there will be no refunds.

 

As a condition of acceptance to the tournament, all out-of-town teams must stay at one of the Presidents' Day Tournament hotels. Failure to comply will result in your team not being allowed on the ice. There will be special rates at these hotels and they all are conveniently located to all the arenas/rinks. Further information regarding the tournament, credentials, hotel accommodations and other matters of interest will be available on the website.
